A registered nurse by training, he holds a Masters in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, where he was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and he worked in the ketamine home-therapy space with KetaMD."

Mark is a trained breathwork facilitator, and he has studied and received initiation in the ancient practices of the Q'ero people of the Peruvian Andes. His work bridges pharmacology and prayer, Western medicine and holistic modalities, without pretending they are the same thing or asking you to choose between them. His book, Hands Up, Big Smile, is the framework the programs draw from."
